Hey. My name is Kayla, but as you will soon realize, I often go by Shorty. For those of you who are special enough to know me, I welcome you to the other side of me.
The inside. This site was created to open myself up a little more than I usually do in public. For those who don't know me yet, after you leave here, you will. I want to welcome you also. However, I warn you that I'm not a picture of "normality" in any way. You came here of your own free will and so shall you leave.

A Glimpse Inside
Inside me lies a complex being of emotional instability and excessive affectional displays. In other words, I get really sappy and don't care who's around when it happens. If someone means enough to me for me to verbally tell them that I love them, they can stand on that statement for eternity. I WILL NOT say that if I'm not absolutely 100% sure I can mean it for the rest of my life. If you hear me say it, BELIEVE IT WITH ALL YOUR HEART. It works something like this: If I say it once, I mean it. If I say it twice, you'll never be alone as long as I'm breathing. If I say it three times, you're a part of me and I'd give you my life if you ask for it. More than three, just feel Increadibley special.

To My Friends...
To my friends, I'd like to say that no matter what happens, you'll always have me to depend on. Well, with the exception that you break my trust (which, in itself, is very difficult to gain). If you truly are my friends, then you already knew that though. If at any time, for anything, I'm needed, you know how to find me.
To new people, I'd like to tell you all that the same princilpes of friendship apply to you as well. I'll be there to listen when it's needed, talk to you when you're bored, help with any problems I can (which are actually more than you think), or anything else. I'm the kind of person that even if I don't like you, if you're in trouble, I'll help you anyway. And EVERYONE'S secrets are ALWAYS safe with me. I know how it feels to have your trust betrayed and I refuse to do that to anyone.
"People Policy"
My "People Policy" was origionally designed to keep me from getting hurt or hurting other people. It ended up being a way of figuring out who i can trust and how much trust I should bestow upon that person. It's kind of complicated to explain, but if you wanna know, I can tell you. Just drop me a line and I'll write you back telling you all about it. I am not typing all that unless someone spacifically asks about it. (lol)
